TITLE: ASSISTANT PROSECUTING ATTORNEY
EMPLOYEE GROUP: NON-UNION – FULL-TIME
SALARY: $79,891 – $94,952 *ANNUAL; Competitive Benefit Package

50% after 1 year of employment.

Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Prosecuting Attorney and the Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, will participate in the processing of a variety of complaints from various police agencies and prosecutes all phases of criminal matters, prepares and conducts felony trials, motions, hearing and appeals in District, Circuit, Juvenile and Family Courts. Regularly presents cases in court and may assist with other matters as assigned. Attempts to resolve and dispose of criminal cases.
Prepares for and litigates bench trials and jury trials. At a minimum, weekly court appearances, on the job training and continued training opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited law school.
- Two to four years of experience as a prosecuting attorney.
- Member in good standing of the State Bar of Michigan is required.
