Elder Justice Bio
Ryan is the Elder Justice Resource Prosecutor for the Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan. He is a native of Owosso, Michigan. He is a 2001 graduate of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and a 2004 graduate of Notre Dame Law School. Ryan joined PAAM from the Shiawassee County Prosecutor’s Office. He also worked as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in Indiana, where he was an assistant prosecutor in the major crimes division for St. Joseph County, as well as a drug interdiction prosecutor for Scott County. Ryan is a member of the Ingham County Elder Abuse Coordinated Community Response Team, the Michigan Association of Check Investigators, the Tri-County Elder Death Review Team, and the Michigan Bar Association Committee for Legal Research, Libraries and Publications.
Thomas P. Holcomb
Tom is the current Financial Fraud Investigator for the PREVNT Elder Justice Initiative for the Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan. Detective Holcomb has an extensive resume of 29 years in Law Enforcement both in Michigan and Kansas. He completed his Bachelor of Science at Northern Michigan University and his police certification at the Kansas Law enforcement Training Center. Tom retired from law enforcement in 2015. His final position was as a Detective Sergeant with the Owosso Police Department. He successfully solved many Elder Abuse cases during his career.
Efua is the Elder Justice and At-Risk Adult Resource project’s Conference Coordinator. She joined the PAAM’s Elder Justice Resource project in April 2013. Efua is an alumnus of Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Political Science and a minor in French.
