Victim Advocate Training Specialist - Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan 

Duties

  • The Victim Advocate Training Specialist will assist the Victim Rights Training Director with providing and creating specialized training on issues of victim services and victim advocacy to Michigan prosecutors and their victim advocates.
  • Provide ongoing telephone and email support to prosecutor’s offices.
  • Assist in providing and producing written manuals, newsletters and training materials.
  • Track grant spending and other documentation for completion of VRST grant reports.

Must have excellent organizational, verbal and writing skills. Ethics, confidentiality and professionalism are critical. Some travel is required.


Requirements: A master’s degree with 5-years-experience as a victim advocate in a prosecutor’s office or a bachelor’s degree with 10-years-experience as a victim advocate in a prosecutor’s office is preferred. Familiarity with MI-VINE and grant reporting also preferred.

Financial Information: This is a full-time; grant funded position with full benefits, based at the PAAM office in Lansing. Salary range is $51,500 - $67,828, depending on experience.
