Position Opening:  Adjunct Instructor 1 – Criminal Law and Procedure

This full time position involves teaching 12 credits hours for two semesters within the Law Enforcement Academy, which follows a baseline of objectives from the Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards. The person chosen for this position will be involved in a foundation of problem-based learning pedagogy employed in our academy. Specifically, this person will teach one semester of Criminal Law and then a second semester of Criminal Procedure.  Police report writing instruction is embedded within the courses. This position is also the legal advisor for the academy providing advice and research for the changing realm of police work. Academy courses are undergraduate and taught at the 400 level during business hours. 

Requirements:  Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA accredited law school; Minimum of five years experience as a prosecuting attorney; Must be currently licensed with the Michigan Bar.
