ASSISTANT PROSECUTING ATTORNEY I

Summary:

Under the supervision of the Prosecuting Attorney and the Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, reviews and authorizes requests for felony and misdemeanor warrants, determines the appropriate charge and prosecutes criminal cases. Prepares and tries misdemeanors at jury and bench trials. Prepares and tries criminal felony matters in Circuit Court, as needed.

Education:

Law degree from an accredited law school

Experience:

Prefer some criminal and/or civil law experience

Other Requirements:

Licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications

A Michigan Vehicle Operator’s License.

Salary and Benefits

$49,790.56 to $64,728.04 plus benefits package
