Title:    Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

General Summary:  The Assistant Prosecuting Attorney (APA) will be primarily assigned to District Court and/or Probate Court to handle any and all proceedings associated.   The APA will be responsible for, but not limited to: reviewing warrant requests, conducting plea negotiations, and drafting and responding to motions/appeals.  Strong oral advocacy skills are required as the APA will be expected to be able to conduct various hearings, preliminary exams, bench trials, and jury trials. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited Law School.
  • Member in good standing with the State Bar. 
  • A valid Michigan driver’s license is required.

Starting Salary: $ 47,639.00 plus benefits and on-call pay (salary negotiable based on experience)
