Title:  Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Starting salary:  $67,995 and benefits package + on call pay

Location:  255 Clay Street, Lapeer, MI 48446

Job Description:  Under the direction of the Prosecuting Attorney reviews and authorizes requests for warrants, determines the appropriate charge, prosecutes criminal cases and supervises prosecutor staff.  Qualified candidates will have 5+ years of experience as a prosecutor and felony trial experience.  Preferred candidates will have diverse prosecutor experience in neglect/abuse, juvenile, and CSC practice areas.  Duties may be added, deleted, or modified at any time.

Qualifications:  Law degree from an accredited law school, felony trial experience preferred, licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan.

Working Conditions:  Full time, generally 40 hours a week, but may exceed this at times, on-call rotation.
