Assistant Prosecuting Attorney- Iron County
Iron County is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney.
This is a full-time position with duties including prosecuting juvenile, misdemeanor and felony cases, litigating family court matters such as establishing paternity and child support orders, criminal appeals, mental health hearings and other matters as assigned.
Hours: Position is salaried with benefits. Normal office hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, however, evenings and weekends may be required as the work dictates.
Requirements: Position requires at a minimum a J.D. degree, licensure by and good standing with the Michigan State Bar, minimum 2 years criminal law experience and 2 years domestic relations experience, courtroom experience and a desire to litigate cases to a jury. On call availability nights and weekends may be required. Applicants will be required to pass a criminal background check.
Salary: Compensation includes $50,317.00 salary plus benefits including health, dental, vision, retirement and paid time off.
