Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney – Houghton County
Duties: The responsibilities of a Chief Assistant Prosecutor include: Under the direction of the Prosecuting attorney, help direct the activities of the assistant prosecuting attorney and support staff; assist the Prosecuting Attorney in the administrative functions of the office; the analysis of warrant requests; conducting pretrial conferences, bench trials and jury trials; and any other duties as assigned by the Prosecuting Attorney. Caseload will include matters in probate and family court, and both misdemeanor and felony cases.
Requirements: Must be licensed by the State Bar of Michigan. Applicants that have sat for the July 2022 Bar Exam are eligible to apply, but employment is conditioned upon passing the Bar and Character and Fitness.
Financial Information: $68,591.00 – $84,399.00, depending on experience level, plus benefits.
