Iron County Full-Time Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney
Iron County is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney. This is a full-time position with duties including analysis of warrant requests; conducting pretrial conferences, bench trials and jury trials; working with other law enforcement agencies for the drafting of search warrants; assisting with the County’s civil matters; and any other duties as assigned by the Prosecuting Attorney.
Hours: Position is salaried with benefits. Normal office hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM; however, evenings and weekends may be required as the work dictates.
Requirements: Position requires at a minimum a J.D. degree, licensure by and in good standing with the Michigan State Bar. Minimum 2 years criminal law experience and 2 years civil/municipal law experience is preferred. On call availability nights and weekends may be required. Applicants will be required to pass a criminal background check.
Salary: $50,000-$60,000, depending on experience, plus benefits including health, dental, vision, life, retirement and paid time off.
